03/17 — Your Guide to Toronto Wellness This Week

Hey there! 💜

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know keep complaining about the weather, but LISTEN—we had one warm, sunny day, and I swear, I felt my personality come back. Like, suddenly I remembered what it’s like to enjoy being outside instead of power-walking home in survival mode. But of course, today it’s raining, so I’m hiding out at the gym, pretending to be productive (and by pretending, I mean writing this).

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about willpower—that elusive thing that makes or breaks our goals. Some days, I wake up ready to conquer the world. Other days, I stare at my gym shoes like they personally offended me. But here’s the thing: I still go. And no, it’s not because I’m some superhuman discipline machine. It’s because I’ve trained myself to not negotiate with my own excuses.

In this week’s podcast episode, I’m breaking down my exact mindset hacks for building ironclad willpower—whether it’s for working out, eating well, or just following through on the commitments you make to yourself. If you’ve ever struggled with self-discipline, this one is a must-listen.

🤍 Wellness Spotlight Of The Week — Meet Arasteh

I recently met Arasteh Gatchpazian at one of her events, and wow—if you don’t know her yet, you need to. She’s not only stunning (like, effortlessly put-together stunning), but she’s also a PhD in psychology who’s passionate about making mental health actually accessible.

Arasteh runs @her.healthful—a mental health-focused business that blends coaching, community events, and content creation to help people apply psychology to their daily lives in a way that’s practical, thoughtful, and actionable. If you’ve ever wanted to actually use psychology instead of just reading about it, she’s the person to follow. And on top of all that? Her content is next-level aesthetic. Think: psychology, but make it Pinterest-worthy.

“I want make mental health education more approachable, so people feel empowered to improve their well-being”

When I asked Arasteh about her perfect idea of ‘me-time’, she said:

"I love going on solo dates in the city – I used to think it was 'embarrassing,' but it is truly such a lovely way to connect with yourself. My perfect day: going on a long walk, trying out a new café, thrift shopping, and having a nice dinner!"

Lately, she’s been thinking about ways to bring people together for deeper conversations —maybe even a dinner party at some point. If that ever happens, I already know it’ll be the place to be.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for thoughtful insights on psychology, mental well-being, and personal growth—delivered in the most aesthetic way possible—follow her @arasteh and her brand @her.healthful.
