06/30 — Your Guide to Toronto Wellness This Week

Hey there! 💜
I don’t mean to be boring this week, but I just need to talk to you about sleep — and the systems we build (or forget to build) around it. Because last weekend nearly took me out.
If you were watching my IG Stories, you saw the madness: back-to-back events, a few too many social commitments, and a party that ended with me clocking a grand total of five hours of sleep. For me, that’s a literal disaster.
I’ve been dragging myself through this week, even while trying to slow things down. The sleep debt is real — and I’m paying for it in foggy thinking, zero energy, and a full-body no thanks to everything.
It’s wild to think how many of us operate like this all the time, as if getting six hours a night is sustainable. (It’s not. I promise.) And I know we’ve all heard the “you can sleep when you’re dead” nonsense — but honestly? That mindset is stealing your joy right now.
So this is your reminder:
your life should revolve around the things that sustain you.
Sleep isn’t selfish. It’s sacred. And when you center it, everything else — your work, your relationships, your energy — gets better.
Also — if you haven’t heard, I started a broadcast channel because I want to share the fun, messy, random stuff that doesn’t always make it to my main page. More real talk, more connection.
Take care of you,
Maria 💛
