The Quiet Season Starts Now

12/15 — Your Guide to Toronto Wellness This Week

Hey there,

There’s nothing like coming home after a trip and realizing… wow, I’m really that attached to my routines. I swear, I was lying on the beach thinking about my morning workout, my comfy bed, and my little walk to get groceries. Maybe that makes me slightly unhinged — but honestly, I love my life here too much to pretend otherwise.

I’m still fighting off this annoying cold, which means zero gym time and a whole lot of blankets, eucalyptus steam, and “I guess this is my personality now.” It’s frustrating, but also a good reminder that even when things feel a bit off, the rhythm of home still holds me together.

We’re in that last little week before Christmas — the last stretch before the city slows down, offices empty out, and everyone collectively exhales. It’s one of my favourite weeks because there’s this mix of softness and urgency. Things still have to get done… but not too fast. There’s nowhere to rush to. No pressure to be shiny or impressive. Just a gentle push to enjoy what’s left of the year.

So take advantage of the slowness creeping in. Linger a bit longer in the moments that feel grounding. Let this week be a soft landing before the real quiet begins.

With love always,

Maria <3
