03/08— Your Guide to Toronto Wellness This Week

Hey loves,
This weekend feels intense in the best way, but I also feel like I’m finally coming back to life after winter.
Yesterday I hosted another event, and it was one of my biggest ones yet. Honestly, seeing people meet, make new friends, sit together, talk, and actually take time for themselves never gets old for me. There’s something really special about watching a room full of women arrive as strangers and leave feeling a little more connected.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about negativity bias and how important it is to be aware of it. I get so much positive feedback, and I’m genuinely so grateful for that. People tell me the events are thoughtful, well organized, and exactly what they needed.
But it’s wild how the brain can still latch onto one tiny thing that wasn’t aligned, even when everything else was beautiful.
One person can mention something they didn’t love, and suddenly that’s the thing your mind wants to replay. It’s honestly so annoying.
But I’m very aware of it, and I think that awareness matters. You’re never going to please everybody, especially when your work starts reaching more people. That just comes with being visible. And at the end of the day, I would rather focus on what is working, what is resonating, and what we’re building here together.
Meeting so many of you, feeling your energy, and seeing how much we really get each other has meant a lot to me. You are kind, open, thoughtful, and just so easy to root for. I’m really grateful for this community.
Let’s keep choosing the good, noticing what’s real, and not giving the smallest negative detail more power than it deserves.
Love,
Maria
There is still a few tickets left for the pilates class March 21st, so would love to see you there 🙂 As always, there is a discount just for you with the promocode NEWSLETTER

Want to support?
Let’s be real: finding a community in a city like this can be tough, especially if your idea of fun looks more like a meditation circle than King West.
As much as I'd love to do this full-time, I’m not a stay-at-home gf, so I balance this passion project with a full-time job. If you feel inspired by what I’m building and want to buy me a coffee to support, it would mean the world.
Every bit helps me know this work is making an impact and gives me a chance to scale it further—helping more people like us find ourselves and our community.
If you’re also passionate about health and wellness and/or are hosting events and would like to collaborate or be featured, please DM me or email [email protected]!
Thank you for being here and believing in this vision. And don’t forget to enjoy the quiet season.
