09/01 — Your Guide to Toronto Wellness This Week

Hey there! 💜
This week I shared something that felt a little terrifying but also freeing—my struggles with body image. For years, I kept those stories to myself, but the moment I put them out there, I realized how powerful vulnerability really is. The responses I got reminded me that so many of us are carrying these battles quietly, and it made me feel so grateful that we can open up together. Vulnerability isn’t weakness—it’s strength. It’s what creates real connection.
Building a community around that honesty has been… weird, in the best way.
Sometimes I feel like I’m spamming you with event invites, but honestly I never imagined how rewarding it would be to hang out with all of you, share stories, and just feel like we belong somewhere.
That’s why I have another event coming up—this one is really close to my heart.
As I’ve shared, I struggled with eating disorders for over a decade, and that journey is actually what led me to become a trainer.
Through trial and error, I realized that no matter what size or shape I was, I couldn’t be happy until I stopped hating my body.
And that shift—toward love instead of punishment—is something I only started talking about a couple of years ago, once I realized there was nothing “wrong” with me.
So this time, I’m hosting an event with my friend and psychiatrist Serenna to help us all feel more grounded and at home in ourselves. And I’ll be guiding you through a strength workout that’s designed to feel good—not out of punishment, but out of love. I really hope you’ll come. It’s going to be beautiful.
